Dan was ordained a priest at First Presbyterian Church in Springfield by Bishop Martha Sherman of the Midwest Region of the Roman Catholic Women Priests. He chose this place of worship (known as “Lincoln’s Church”) because of his friendship with Rev. Susan Phillips who is that community’s first women pastor and because most all of the Tiffany stained glass windows depict women. He was grateful to celebrate this day with his sister priests, family and friends along with local religious leaders from the Greater Springfield Interfaith Association.
