Judith McKloskey

Judith McKloskey first spoke up for women’s ordination when her fourth grade teacher said girls couldn’t be altar servers. A long-time member of the Women’s Ordination Conference, she was active in Women’s Worship Circle and Never on Sunday, a group studying lectionary references to Biblical women. Using her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Library Science, Judith managed library networks and religious organizations in Minnesota for 20 years. During that time, she served her large parish in many roles, including parish council president, lector, and lay preacher. When her call to priestly ministry resurfaced in 1994, she began her studies toward ordination. Judith is the second RCWP priest from Minnesota to be ordained, and the first to be ordained in Minnesota. Since moving to Missouri with her husband to be near their daughter and family, Judith is semi-retired from active ministry. She accompanies people along their life journeys, and serves RCWP as one of its archivists.
