Susan Marie Russell

Susan M. Russell has been a social worker since 2004 and opened a private practice in 2024. She completed an MA in Theology from John Carroll University in May 2023. She is a member of the Community of Saint Bridget in Brecksville, Ohio, where she serves on the liturgy committee. She formed her own faith community, In the Footsteps of Rabboni, to allow for more opportunities for home masses. Susan earned an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College in 1990, a Bachelor of Arts with Departmental Honors in Psychology in 1997, and a Master of Social Work in 2004.

Susan has one daughter and three grandchildren. Her father, Robert, considered the priesthood, but left the seminary when he realized he wanted to be a husband and father. He married Nina, a Protestant, and together they raised a family of five.

Susan desired to be an altar server like her older brother and was very devoted to her Catholic faith. She was delighted to meet Dagmar Celeste in 2009 and begin the journey to fulfilling that desire and all the other ones she had not even dared to dream in being a follower of Christ.
