Susan Kochert Vaickauski
Susan Kochert Vaickauski was born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Purdue University and a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, Chicago along with a Certificate in Human Relations and Helping Skills. She has over fifty years in ministry including three years on the board for the Office of Evangelization, Chicago. Other areas of ministry include Liturgy, Welcome Home Programs, High School and Junior High Religious Education, trained Ministers of Care and Ministers of Communion, Bereavement Ministry, Parish Council and Vice President of Women’s Club. In 2004, Susan and her daughter visited Kibera Slum in Nairobi, Kenya and started the Fred Outa Foundation. The foundation, along with students from School District 28, raised money for food, water, uniforms, medical and educational supplies for the students in the slum. In 2015, the foundation built a girls high school so that the girl child from the slum could pursue a secondary education. Susan helped to found the St. Joan of Arc all inclusive community in Northbrook. She also presides for Dignity and Agape all inclusive communities in the Chicago area.
